Allen, 94, who died Thursday in a local hospital, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist Church of Hammon, with Rev. H. P. Elliott and Rev. Albert Trent officiating. Burial will follow in the Blair cemetery. Mrs. Allen was born April 26, 1874, in Dallas County, Tex. She was married to Granville William Allen on May 3. 1891, in Old Greer County. They moved to Blair in 1898 moved back to Texas in 1909, then moved to four miles north of Elk City in 1918, then to the Herring community in 1922, where they lived until Mr. Allen's death Feb. 9, 1936. In 1940 Mrs. Allen moved to Hammon where she had lived since. She was a longtime member of tbe Methodist church. The Blair cemetery on land donated by her father, the late Charles A. Bast. Survivors include 4 daughters, Mrs. O. M. Spurlock, Elk City. Mrs. Ted Gwartney, Hammon, Mrs. Orlena Jones, Beeville, Tex., Mrs. Irene Linebarger, Tulare, Calif.; 3 sons. Jesse, John and Bill Allen. all of Hammon; 19 grandchildren; 46 great- grandchildren and several great- great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, a son and a daughter preceded her in death. Mrs. Allen was the last member of her family. Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
