Marvin grew up, and attended school in the Trail community. In October of 1942 he was inducted into the United States Army. During his military service he was stationed in the South Pacific and received the Good Conduct Medal and the Rifleman Specialist award and Scout awards. He wad honorably dicharged in November of 1944. On May 9, 1945 Marvin was united in marriage to Ileta Meerle Day, in Vici, Oklahoma. They were blessed with the birth of two children, daughter Doris Louise and son Wallace Wayne. Marvin and Ileta lived for a period of ten years in Woodward, but always made Camargo, Oklahoma their home. Marvin loved his life long career of farming and ranching. Marvin was a member of the First Christian Church, and was baptized into the Lord's service on May 31, 2000. As long as his health permitted, he attended the First Christian Church in Camargo. Marvin was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and also the Camargo School Board. He especially enjoyed playing dominoes and pool with his friends, and also liked to watch sports, hunt quail and fish. Marvin was preceded in death by his parewnts, Wallasce and Nellie Allen; daughter, Doris "Louise" McDannald, and son Wallace Wayne Allen; three sisters, Sadie McClendon, Zella Bishop and Elixabeth Skelton; and by three brothers, John Henry Allen, Leonard Roy Allen and Wilford Tate Allen. Those surviving to mourn his passing are his beloved wife, Ileta of the home; grandchildren, Donnie McDannald and wife Tammy of Vici, Oklahoma, Teresa Robertson and husband Rick of Enid, Oklahoma, Ranae Parry and husband Scott of Arnewtt, Oklahoma, Wayne Allen of Okeene; by great- grandchildren, SaVanna and Stetson McDannald, Olivia Parry, and Rachel Robertson; several "special" nieces and nephews; by son-in-law, David McDannald; and many long-time friends Services were held Friday, January 21, 2005 in the First Christtian Church, Camargo, Oklahoma with interment following in the Camargo Cemetery. Services arranged by Shaw Funeral Home, Vivci, Oklahoma.
