Mr. Allen was born January 16, 1924 in Strong City, Oklahoma to Roger Monroe Allen and Lola Grace (Lacey) Allen. Troy was preceded in death by his beloved parents: the love of his life, his wife and mother of his children, Ulla Mae (Mace) Allen. Left to mourn his loss, are his beloved daughters Lana Mae Shannon and husband Lonnie of Kansas, Theresa Lyvon Kelly of Farmington, Troyetta Lynn Hargiss and husband William C. Hargis of Aztec; brothers, Bill Allen of Alaska, Joe Allen and wife Carol of Texas, Roger Allen and wife Danetta of Texas; sister Addie Chancellor and husband Jim of Idaho and Peggy Gerhardson of Flora Vista; grandsons whom he loved dearly, Jack Boyle, Gary Boyle and Troy Boyle all of Kansas, Preston Harper of Colorado, Desmond Tucker and Calvin Hargis both of Aztec, granddaughters who were the apple of his eye, Melissa Crawford of Arizona and Amanda Doran of Kansas and 14 great grandchildren. Mr. Allen served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received the following decorations and medals: Asiatic Pacific Theater, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Award and Victory Medal. He was a heavy equipment operator in Nevada, retiring from Operating Engineers, and then later worked on the Alaska Pipeline, Prudhoe Bay also retiring from Veco Inc. Mr. Allen was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He has always been supportive and willing to lend a hand and a prayer to anyone who needed it. All of these traits will be greatly missed especially his smile. His smile made his "John Wayne" character. A celebration of Troy's life was held on Monday, September 18, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at New Life in Christ Church, 1108 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington with Pastor Stephen Marquez and Reverend Bob Jacquez officiating. Mr. Allen will then be laid to rest next to his sweetheart at Greenlawn Cemetery in Farmington. Pallbearers are Chuck Hargis, Bill K. Hargis, Dale Werito, Roy Dobey, Wayne Clark and John Hass. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Hargis, Lonnie Shannon, Doug Miller, Troy Lee Boyle, Gary Boyle, Desmond Tucker, and Calvin Hargis. The family of Troy Allen wished to thank Troy's brother Bill Allen, Beehive Homes, and staff, VA Clinic and Dr. Lanzi and staff for their care of dad and for all they did for him. God Bless You All.
