Mrs. Anderson was formerly Miss Minnie Long, one of Roger Mills County's most foremost school teachers. She had a large acquaintence throughout the county and was loved by all who knew her. Mrs. Anderson had been in delicate health for some time, but she seemed to be well on the road to perfect health, and her sudden demise was a surprise to all. She was in town Monday and apparently feeling fine, but after her return home, near Redmoon, she became violently ill about midnight and died about 11 o'clock Tuesday morning in spite of medical skill. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved in this their hour of sorrow. Once again the grim moment of death, has visited our neighbood and took away our cherrished friend and neighbor, Mrs. Minnie Anderson, the beloved wife of Mr. Roscoe Anderson of Redmoon neighborhood. Minnie was ill only a few hours when death came and relieved her of her terrible suffering. Minnie was born March the 1st 1888 in what was then known as Pickens County, Oklahoma, while Oklahoma was yet a territory, and died April 18, 1916 at 28 years and 18 days. The greater part of her life was spent at Center Oklahoma, her mother having lived at Center with the family for years. Minnie was well known, and was loved by all who knew her. At the age of twelve she united with the Christian church, and about eight years ago she accepted the apostolic faith and has since that time lived a true Christian life-ever ready to do all she could for the betterment of all those with whom she associated. She was not only a teacher in our public schools, but a teacher by example. Her life seemed to be "In His steps," and well the writer remembers the loyely conversations we have had the pleasure of having with her. Our loss is heavens gain we with a host of friends and sorrowing relatives rejoice to know she was prepared to meet our God of love, and now is with Him singing his praises around the golden throne of God. She was married to Mr. Roscoe Anderson December 23, 19(date not legable) and to this union was born a little daughter who was with them but a few short hours until the angel spirit of their darling took its flight to its heavenly home. This was a sad trail for those loving parents but saddly still the death of a loving wife, daughter and sister. She leaves and affectionate husband, a loving mother, sisters and brothers to mourn her departure. We can only say to the bereaved ones-live as Minnie lived and some day clasp glad hand with her in the land of eternal joy. Interment in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
