Members of the family who survive him are: his father and mother of Cheyenne; four brothers: Claude and Vernon of New Mexico, and John and Glenn, of Cheyenne; three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Rousch of Amarillo, Texas; Miss Eulalie Anderson of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Pauline of Cheyenne. He is also survived by one grandmother, Mrs. Graves of Santa Fe, New Mexico and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives. One sister, Ruby, Mrs. D. Kendall, preceded him in death several years ago. "Boots" as he was known to all, was one upon whom the responsibilities of life fell at a very young age, and he shouldered these as a man, thus was old beyond his years. He was a boy who felt a deep love of his family and was always ready and willing to give any assistance that was possible for him to give to help them. Boots was a young man who enjoyed the fellowship of others of his age and was a friend off all the young people of the town and community, loved and admired by all. Early in life he became interested in Sunday school work and until the time his health failed him he was one of the most faithful members the Methodist Sunday School has ever had in this city. Boots not only was a builder and or many years was one of the most active members of the Fidelis class of the Methodist Sunday School of this city. He had been of great service to this church by his assistance in programs by contributing to the musical part of the program and otherwise helping. He was one who was always willing and ready to perform he little duties pertaining to the organization. One of his great regrets when his health failed, was that he was unable to attend Sunday School--and very keenly did his group feel the loss of his attendance, for his faithfulness, his dependability and loyalty was one of the mainstays of the class. The passing of "Boots" Anderson which, though it may seem untimely, marks the passing of one who did what he could for his family and for his Church. His passing leaves a memory of fidelity and loyalty to the great Sunday School cause that might well be emulated by all young men. Funeral service will be held today for Buford Anderson who passed away early Wednesday after an illness of two years.
