He passed away Sunday, April 30, 2000 at his home in McLean, Texas with his family. He was 65 years, 2 months and 6 days. Burwin married Vera Faye Hughes July 6, 1953. To this union three children were born, Wayne, Kevin and Sharon. He later married Royalyn Gae Mayhan Evans at Clayton, New Mexico on May 27, 1983 and three step children were added to his family, Shane, Darron and Sharon. He was a dairy cooling equpment salesman and a rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Royalyn of the home, four sons, Wayne Archer, Sulphur Springs, Texas, Kevin Archer and Shane Evans, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Darron Evans of Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Sharon Leibold of Leedey, Oklahoma and Sharon Cowan of El Reno, Oklahoma; gen grandchildren; five sisters, Ruby McFarland of Madill, Oklahoma, Nellie McClellan, of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Veryl Waldner and Helen Ellingwood both of Eureka, California, and Mary Patton of Ulysses, Kansas; one brother, Keene Kirksey, of Sonoma, California, plus a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held at Strong City Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 1000, with interment in the Strong City Cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County, OK under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne.
