Archer, 69, of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, were held at the First Baptist Church in Cheyenne at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 1975. He passed away at 8:00 a.m. Sunday, April 20, 1975 at the home of his mother, Mrs. Olive Archer, where he resided. He was born August 28, 1905 at Moorewood, Oklahoma and was the son of C.C. and Olive Archer. Preceding him in death were his father, and an older brother, Lawrence Archer, formerly a resident of Cheyenne. Surviving him are four children: Gertrude Foss of Portland, Oregon; Calvin Archer, Jr. of Milwaukee, Oregon; Pauline Maldonato of Milwaukee, Oregon; and Linda Lance of Amarillo, Texas. Also thirteen grandchildren several reat grandchildren and his mother, Olive Archer, of Cheyenne. Also two brothers, Oscar Acher of Moab, Utah and Blane Archer of Weatherford, Oklahoma. Also six sisters as follows: Minnie Bonser, of Cheyenne; Ruby Montgomery of Milwaukee, Oregon; Jewel Enyart of Alice, Texas; Nola Walker of Sedona, Arizona, Marie Archer, Enid, Oklahoma and Lucile Martini of Portland, Oregon.
