McKee and Mary E. Manning McKee. Thelma was born in Sentinel, Oklahoma and lived there until she moved by covered wagon to Leedey, Oklahoma in 1919. On April 5, 1953, Thelma was united in marriage to James Hayden "Boog" Arney; the love of her life. Thelma and Boog had one son, James Leon "Jim" Arney, the joy of Thelma/s life. Jim and his wife Zula of Hereford, Texas filled Thelma/s life with 3 grandchildren to love, James Arney and wife Melinda of Mooreland, Oklahoma; Cheryl Arney Crim of Flower Mound, Texas; and David Arney and wife Christa of Mooreland, Oklahoma. Thelma's legacy of family continued with her 8 great grandchildren: Mandi Crim Horfn and husband Casey of Flower Mound, Texas; Trey Arney and wife Angela of Clinton, Oklahoma, Joshua Arney of Lubbock, Texas; Brandon Crim of Lubbock, Texas; Jared Arney and wife Jordan of Norman, Oklahoma; Laura Arney of Norman, Oklahoma; Jenna Arney of Mooreland, Oklahoma and Paul Arney of Mooreland, Oklahoma. Thelma's 95 years on this earth allowed her to also love and adore her great great granddazughter, Kimberlyn Arney of Clinton, Oklahoma. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; her sister, Bernice Mauldin; her brothers: Claude "Sonny" McKee, .E. McKee and Cecil McKee. Thelma is survived by her son and his family, her sister, Frances Feagin of Deer Park, Texas, many nieces and nephews and her many beloved friends. Thelma touched many hearts and lives with grace most prevalent in her loving nature and kind words. Although it's hard to imagined the world without Thelma here, her family find comfort in knowing thaty she is rejoicing in heaven, dinning at her kings table from now and forever more. Services were Sunday, April 10, 2005 at the United Methodist Church of Leedey, Oklahomsa. Burial followed after at the Evergreen Cemetery with Shawe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
