The obit for Walker (my cousin) is in error for the source. While there may have been one (and better than the Elk City obit) there are no known surviving issues for the Advocate at the time of his death. The obit posted for him should be as below with spelling errors marked and some of words were spelled out that were not spelled out in the original and some of the comas in the original are missing in the posted record. Nikkola died recently and I will send that next. The Elk City Daily News, Tuesday, April 10, 1945 Services For W. A. Ackley Wednesday PM Walker A. Ackley, 37, farmer of Hammon, Oklahoma died at his home Monday, April 9, 1945 after a three-year illness. He was born September 29, 1908 in Hammon and was married in 1930 to Katie Wright at Sayre, who survives him. He had been a lifelong resident of the community. Surviving along with his wife are children Tommy Gale, Nikkola Ra, Tatsy(sic) Lanette and Billie, all of the home address as well as a sister Mrs. Oscar Creswell, Hammon and brothers George Ackley, San Francisco, Cal., Hammon Ackley, San Luis Obispo, Cal., Glenwood Ackley, Seattle, Wash., stationed with the Merchant Marine and Reed Ackley, Bluford(sic) Ackley and Emery C. Ackley, all of Hammon. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, April 11, 1945 at 2:30 o'clock from the Baptist church at Hammon, Reverend W. R.
