All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Red Hill Cemetery--Hammon OK The Hammon Advocate, Thursday, September 23, 1954 pg 1 Mrs. Nancy Armstrong Services September 16 Services for Mrs. Nancy Cordellia Armstrong, Elk City, were conducted in the First Baptist church, here, Thursday, September 16, at 3 pm., Rev. Cleo Martin officiated. Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Armstrong died in an Elk City hospital Tuesday night, following a heart attack. Nancy Cordellia Armstrong was born in Texas December 18, 1870 and died September 14, 1954. She was united in marriage to Dan Creach, who preceded her in death in 1926, and again united in marriage to A. J. Armstrong in 1931, who preceded her in death in 1946. She came to Oklahoma, settling near Hammon, in 1901, and moving to Elk City about twelve years ago where she has made her home since. She united with the Baptist church at an early age and was active in church work until health prevented active work. She is survived by four step-children, Mrs. W. L. Sifford, Hammon; Mrs. Bessie Spitzer, Cheyenne; Walter and J. T. Armstrong, both of Elk City; one sister, Mrs. Mamie Ewing, Ranger, Texas; two brothers, Chas.
