All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Elmwood Cemetery--Woodward OK Margaret Iyvonne Beck, 70, 301 Walnut, died Sunday, October 24, 1999 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center. She was born November 26, 1928 in Wilson County, the daughtger of Carey and Clara Freeman Tripp. She was a member of Firswt Church of God, VFW Auxiliary and American Legion auxiliary. She was married June 16, 1946 to Charles Beck at Chanute, KS. She grew up in Chanute, KS and graduated from Chanute High School. After he marriage she lived south of Chanute until moving to Enid, Oklahoma, and then to Elk City, Oklahoma, before returning to Chanute in 1973. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, reading and also was a good cook. She was a homemaker and had also been employed at Westview Nursing Home for several years until she retired. Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Larry Joe Beck and wife Nhung, of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Terry Lee "Pete" Beck and wife Kay, of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; a daughter, Easter Marie Aikins, Chanute, Kansas; two brothers, Charles Tripp, Jamesville, Wisconsin and Carey Tripp, Watsonville, California; a sister, Donna Joy Stoll, Chanute, Kansas; six grandchildren, Rosanna Brock and husband, Jeff, Easley, Texas, Tracy Butterfield, Wichita, Kansas, Donnie Aikins Bastrop, Texas, Jennifer Beck, Wayne Beck and Jessica, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; five great grandchildren, Amanda Butterfield, Wichita, Kansas, Vicotira Aikins, San Antonio, Texas, Kelton Beck, Cheyenne, Oklahoma, and Jerry and Jenny Brock, Beasley, Texas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Franklin. Funeral services were at 2p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 1999 at Gibson-Koch-Frisket Chapel, with Reverend Gary Bates officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial are suggested to American Heart Association. Gibson-Koch-Frisket was in charge of arrangements.
