Surnames: Bogges, Dodson 

Funeral services for Alfred Marion Bogges will be conducted Tuesday, 
December 18, 1990 at the Martin Funeral Chapel with Dr. Ed Saucier 
officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, 
Roger Mills County.

Alfred Marion Bogges was born June 2, 1919 and died Saturday Dec. 
15, 1990 at the age of 71. He was born on a farm near Cheyenne and 
was raised on the same farm. He was married to Ruby Dodson on August 
16, 1941 and they farmed until 1967 when they moved to Moore, 
Oklahoma. They returned to live in Elk City in 1988. Alfred was a 
member of the Baptist Church and a longtime member of the Herring 
School Board.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby, of the Elk City Home; five 
children, Marion Ellen Pierce of Tyler, Texas, Billy K. Bogges, of 
Shawnee, Bobby Gene Bogges of Earlsboro, Donald R. Bogges of 
Shawnee and Judy Ann Jones of Newalla, Oklahoma; one sister, Nila 
Boulware of Dallas; and one brother, Orvile Bogges of Cheyenne; 15 
grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
