She passed from this life on July 9, 2002 at the age of 85. She grew up in Elk City, Oklahoma and attended school there in 1941. Estella moved to Gridley, California and remained there until 1952. At that same time she returned to Oklahoma were she attended business school in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1953 and 1954. She remained in Oklahoma City until her passing. Estella married William "Cebe" Bassett in Elk City, Oklahoma and to this union a daughter, Ruth Annette Bassett was born. Estella enjoyed her family and some of her special interest were collecting, art and sewing. She is preceded in death by parents, Robert and Stella Gordon; her daughter, Ruth Annette Bassett, a brother, Jess Riley Gordon, a sister Juanita Banks; and a nephew, Michael Robert Gordon. She is survived by her niece, Sandra Alewine of Pampa, Texas; a sister-in-law, Edith Conditt of Altus, Oklahoma and cousins, Georgia Jackson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Bob and Juanita Gordon of Elk City, Oklahoma. Herb Trimbell of Pampa, Texas, and Roger Allen of Leedey, Oklahoma. Graveside services were conducted in the Red Star Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma by Shaw Funeral Home of Leedey, Oklahoma.
