Robert S. Bachmann

DURHAM, Okla. - Robert S. Bachmann, 85, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999.

Services were at 2 p.m. Monday in the Durham Church of Christ with Cecil 
Burch officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery by Rose Chapel 
Funeral Services of Cheyenne.

Mr. Bachmann was born in Elk City and moved with his family to a farm 3-
1/2 miles west and one mile north of Durham in 1920. He attended Durham 
School and was a member of the Durham Church of Christ.

Mr. Bachmann and his wife made their home on the family farm west of 
Durham, where they farmed and raised cattle. In 1964, they moved to Durham 
and continued to raise cattle in their Antelope Hill pasture until 1997.

He married Ima Gantz in 1935 at Cheyenne. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Cockrell of Durham and Roberta 
Bachmann of Oklahoma City; two sons, Calvin Bachmann of Durham and J.G. 
Bachmann of Shamrock, Texas; three sisters, Frances Ramsey of Canadian, 
Pearl Riley of Durham and Easter Bingham of Roseburg, Ore.; seven 
grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
