The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Baker, Haas Chad Baker was born May 24, 1979 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Linda Kay and Charles Ervin Baker and passed away December 5, 1998 in the Great Plains Regional Medical Center of Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 19 years, 6 months and 11 days. Chad attended school at Sweetwater and was active in FFA, where he held the office of Sentinel for two years and had received the Chapter Star Farmer Award and State Farmer Degree. Chad also served a Student Council Representative for several years. After graduating from Sweetwater High School in 1997, he worked for a short time for Gene's Fin and Feather in Elk City, but mainly helped his father run the family dairy farm. Chad enjoyed several hobbies, but his main interest was fishing. He was a member of Sweetwater First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Wilbert Haas, his paternal grandfather, Charlie Baker and 1 uncle, Calvin Haas. He is survived by his parents, Charles and Linda Baker and 1 sister, Jamie Lynn Baker all of the home, maternal grandmother Beatrice Haas of Sayre, OK; paternal grandmother Ina Baker of Cheyenne, OK his aunts and uncles, many cousins, host of other relatives and friends. Services were at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 7, 1998 at the Sweetwater Multipurpose Room officiated by C.R. Tucker. Interment was in the Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. --------------------------------------------------------------------
