He was born December 12, 1919, in Midway, OK. He was borned and raised in the Durham community. He was a retired truck driver and had been a 45 year resident of Beaver. He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a 45 year member of the Baptist Church. He was a member of VFW and the American Legion. He was married to Jean Keller March 12, 1940, in Edmond, OK. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Don Baker of Durham, and two brothers Guy and Henry Baker of Crawford. Survivors include his wife, Jean, of the home in Beaver, one son, Buddy Don Baker, Surrey, British Columbia, Can.; two daughters, Vicki Lynn Collier, Edmond, OK; and Sue Ann Aday, Shawnee, OK; one brother, Dale Parsons Baker, Elk City, OK; and six grandchildren. Services were Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Beaver First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Sherrill officiating. Burial was at 3;00 p.m. in the Fairview Cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
