The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Baker, Parsons Fannie May Baker, 93, of Rt. 1, Durham, Okla., was born May 31, 1893 in North Carolina to James W. and Alice Parsons and passed away Wednesday, December 24, 1986 at the Abraham Memorial Home in Canadian, Texas following and extended illness. In 1899 she came with her parents to Western Oklahoma making their home in the Durham Community. On September 5, 1915, she and Donald Philips Baker were united in marriage in Durham. In 1980, Mrs. Baker entered a Sayre Nursing Home and in 1983 moved to the Abraham Memorial Home in Canadian, TX. She had been a member of the Durham Church of Christ for a number of years. Preceding her in death were her parents, 1 son, Guy, 3 grandchildren, 2 sisters and 6 brothers. Survivors include her husband, Don of the home; 3 sons, Henry of Crawford, Okla., Dale of Durham, Okla., and Edward of Beaver, Okla., 13 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 27, 1986 at 1 p.m. in the Durham Community Building with Arvia Willingham and Andy Eubank officiating. Interment followed in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne. Pallbearers were: Donnie York, Thoral Shaw, Marion Owen, Donald Cockrell, Dewitt Hawkins and Gordon Thomas. Honorary Pallbearers were: Robert Bachmann, Grant Godden, Andrew Garver, Mike Hawkins, Lawrence Beckel and Levi Sides.
