The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Baker, Mitchell, Scrivner, Sadler, Martin, Moler, Wright Guy Pride Baker was born on October 24, 1921 in Durham, Oklahoma and passed away Wednesday, January 8, 1986 at the age of 64 years, 2 months and 15 days. Guy, the son of Donald Phillips and Fannie Mae Baker, grew up and attended school at Durham. He married Betty Jo Mitchell and they made their home in Durham before moving to Crawford, when their daughter, Mary Jolene, was a small child. Betty Jo passed away in 1956 when their son, Guy Clark, was a baby. On November 1, 1958, he married Thelma Sadler Scrivner. They made their home in Crawford Community while Guy worked for the State Highway Department for eleven years befpre he began to farm. He was a member of the Cheyenne Masonic Lodge and the Elk Lodge in Elk City. For a number of years he had been a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church in Crawford. He had also been a rural mail carrier for a number of years. His first wife, Betty Jo; daughters, Jolene and 2 grandchildren preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Thelma; 4 daughters, Jackie Martin of Cheyenne; Wilma Moler of Cheyenne; Patty Wright of Reydon and Peggy Baker of Oklahoma City; 1 son, Guy Clark Baker of Durham; his parents, Donald and Fannie Baker of Durham; 3 brothers, Henry Baker of Crawford; Dale Baker of Durham and Edward Baker of Beaver, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 11, 1986 at 2:00 p.m. in the Crawford Guymanasium with A.L. Martin and Galen Isaacs officiating. Interment followed in the Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with the Elk Lodge of Elk City giving the 11:00 toast. Arrangements were made by Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne. Pallbearers were Woodrow Barber, Judge Owen, Willard Young, Leon Keahey, Gordon Kirk and Fred Cordell. Serving as honorary pallbearers was the Masonic Lodge of Cheyenne. --------------------------------------------------------------------
