"Shorty" Bozarth, 60, of Cheyenne, was born August 11, 1921, to Henry and Emma Bozarth in Dallas, Texas, and passed from this lifed at his home, February 11, 1982. As a small boy Shorty moved with his parents to Eastern Oklahoma and later moved to California. He participated in Civilian Conservation Corps, World War II and the Korean Conflict. On January 28, 1957, he was married to Rachel Parkhurst in Reno, Nevada. They moved to Hammon in 1957 and in 1961 they made their home in Cheyenne, where he was employed with the city and eventually operated a Trailer Court. Mr. Bozarth became a member of the Pentecostal Church in Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Rachel, of the home; 5 daughters, Audrey Trapp, Cheyenne, June Tinkle, Marysville, Oklahoma, Carol Aymond, Cheyenne, Jeannedtte Gillispie, Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Barbara Gordon, Denver, Colorado; 16 grandchilddren; 5 great grandchildren; stepmother, Mrs. Beulah Bozarth, Miami, Oklahoma; 4 brothers, Gerad Bozarth, Seattle, Washington, James Bozarth, Oakhurst, Oklahoma, Charles Bozarth, Boaz, Alabama, and Carl Bozarth, Middleton, Idaho; 2 half brothers, Edward Bozarth and Jimmy Dale Bozarth, both of Miami, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Wanetta Wammack, Galena, Kansas and Rosetta Cervantes, Citrus Heights, California; 1 half sister, Betty Bozarth Sharp, Tulsa, Oklahoma; 1 step sister, Marge Bozarth of Texas. Funeral services were held Monday, February 15, 1982, at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Cheyenne with Roger Klopfenstein officiating and buril followed in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Active Pallbearers were Bobby Wayne Parkhurst, Kenneth Moore, Jerry Horton, Don Cearlock, Austin Parkhurst and Earl Brothers. Honorary Pallbearers were Wayne Parkhurst, Melvin Parkhurst, Doug Adams, Boyd Whipkey and Slim Gillispie. Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne was in charge of arrangements.
