At an early age he became a member of the Methodist church to which faith he held continously. In 1916 he married Della Hopkins and to this union two children were born. They are Charlene Beaty of Oklahoma City and Haworth Beaty of Greenfield, Miss. On October 18, 1927 he was married to Marie Powell of Durham. To this union two children were born, Bill Beaty, who died in 1950 and Jim now serving with the Air Force in Lubbock, Texas. Other survivors include one brother, Carrol E. Beaty of Humansville, MO.; and two sisters, Mrs. C. E. Essex, also of Humansville and Mrs. Helen Wyman of Denver, Colorado; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ola Beaty of Miller, South Dakota.
