He leaves to mourn his seemingly untimely departure his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Beaty, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; two brothers, Haworth Beaty of Greenville, Mississippi and Jim Beaty of Cheyenne; one sister, Charlene Beaty, Clinton, Okalhoma, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Powell of Durham, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. Bill started to school at Durham and completed high school at Crawford, Oklahoma. After his graduation he began working for the Soil Conservation Service in Cheyenne. About eighteen months prior to his death he accepted employment with the Independent Exploration Company and was employed by this company at Calwell, Kansas at the time of his passing. Bill was very active and enjoyed athletics and was a member of the softball team at Caldwell, Kansas. Bill beaty enjoyed life and liked people and people liked Bill Beaty. His friendships were not limited to any certain age or group, but people of all groups, both young and old, were numbered among his friends. Bill Beaty was unusually interested in the affairs of the community, state and nation. No greater tribute can be paid than some has said of Bill Beaty, "He was a fine young man and everydody liked him." Bill Beaty's life, although short, has been a belssing to his parents, borhters, sister, other relatives and to the many people with whom he came in contact.
