The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Batchelor Buddy Batchelor, son of Mrs. Irma and the late Frank Batchelor died Sunday February 25, 1973 in a traffice accident which occurred on I- 40 west of Elk City. Highway patrol investigatros said Batchelor's pickup was weaving on the roadway when the westbound truck went out of control and stuck a guard rail. The car reportedly continued skidding down the rail until it struck a bridge, glanced off the side and came to rest in the westbound lane. Batchelor was pinned in the wreckage for some 15 minutes and dired from multiple injuries a short time later at Community Hospital in Elk City. Burial was in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Scroggins and Son in charge of arrangements.
