She passed away at Murphy Memorial Hospital, Whittier, California, Match 15, 1951. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age, and reaffirmed that faith many times during her last days of suffering. She was married to Pleas L. Buttry February 25, 1928. They made their home in Hammon until 1935, when they moved to California. At the time of her passing, they resided at 111 Bluff Road, Montebello, California. Mabel was such a generous, warm hearted person, always eager to help relieve the pain of othersd. She leaves to mourn her loss, husband, Pleas L. Buttry, and eight brothers and sisters: Mrs. Ethel Wilder, Texola, Oklahoma; Jasper L. Smith, Phillips, Texas; Mrs. Blancfhe Parks, Borger, Texas; Austin R. Smith, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Clara Morgan, Elk City; Hubert B. Smioth, Whittier, California; Lawson T. Smith, Downey, Califolrnia; Mrs. Rubye Cox, Pico, California, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held in the Memorial Chapel of the Siewart-Barber Funeral Home, Whittier, March 17, 1951, with Rev. I.D. Kirkpatrick of the Pico Union Church officiating. Interment was made in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, California.
