He was married at the age of 33 to Zeffie Garver in Oklahoma City, January, 1902. His parents were Joshua Hamlin Buel and Frances Ellen Buel. He had two children, Harshel E. Buel and Helen E. Buel. He also had one grandchild. Mr. Buel came to Oklahoma before statehood in 1897. He lived in and near Oklahoma City until 1933 when he came to Roger Mills County. "Silver", as he was fondly called by his many friends, was united with the Seventh day Adventist church early in life. He departed this life on July 4, 1941, having lived 72 years, 7 months and 24 days. He was buried in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with rev. B.N. Lummus in charge of the services. His funeral was attended by many friends.
