Bailey. He passed away June 21, 2003 in the Baptist - St. Anthony Hospice, Amarillo, Texas a the age of 86 years, 1 month and 6 days. Preston graduated from Hammon High School and was married to Eula Mae Burgess at Hammon, Oklahoma on April 9, 1939. They lived in the Hammon community where Preston farmed. They moved to Pampa, Texas in 1953 where he worked for the Pampa Police Department until his retirement on October 30, 1983 as a Lieuenant. Preston and Eula Mae visisted Lake City, Colorado many summer since 1969. In May of 2002 they moved the Amarillo, Texas to make their home. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ where he had served as a deacon and elder. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters.v Services were held Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at 10:30 AM at Whinery-Savage Chapel, Elk City, Oklahoma, officiatefd by Kevin Ballard and Tom Bailey. Burial was held in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Sayre. Memorial can be made to Westview Boys home, Hollis, Oklahoma. Survivors include: his wife, Eula Mae of the home; 2 daughters and sons- in-law, Carlyn and Jerry Baker of Amarillo, Texas, and Viva Kay and Gary Coulter, of Sayre, Oklahoma; 1 granddaughter, Vanessa Norman and husband, Jeff; 2 great granddaughters, Brooke and Kathryn Norman; 2 brothers, Edward Bailey of Lubbock, Texas and Franklin D. Bailey of Florida; hos of other relatives and friends.
