Born Jan. 11, 1922, in Rogers Mills, Okla., he was the son of the late Abraham S. and Bertha Keyser Beals of Rogers Mills Okla. Mr. Beals was a retired coal miner, havng worked for New River CO. at Stanaford. Attended Loup Creek Baptist Church, was a member of UMWA and was a WW 11 U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Ina Garrett. Survivors include his wife, Doris Tredway Beals, four daughters, Lois Ann Pettit of Clever, OH, Margaret Jean Hooten of Batesville, Ind, Karen Dale Baird of Garden City, Mich. and Rebecca Schorr of Landsdale, PA,; a son, David R. Beals of Rt. 1, Fayetteville; five sisters, Gladys Blake of Cincinnati, OH, Elsie Taylor of Rt.2, Fayetteville, Odelle Pennington of Beards Fork, Evelyn Abbott and Edna Kincaid of Oak Hill; two brothers, Kenneth Beals and Martin Beals Oak Hill, WVA. Services were at 1.p.m. Sunday at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill WVA.
