Loyd moved with his parents to the Roll community and attended school at Breezy Meadow and Crawford. He married Joyce Clif on September 16, 1946 in Wheeler, Texas. They lived in Elk City from 1982 until 1986 when they moved back to the farm in Sweetwater to make their home. Loyd farmed while working for Roger Mills County and having his own business working with heavy equipment. Loyd was baptized on December 2, 1972 and he dedicated his life to serving as one of Jehovah's Witness. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 beloved son Gary, 2 brothers, Harold and Jim and 1 sister Lois Sprowls. He is survived by his wife Joyce of the home; 1 daughter Wanda Looper, Edmond, OK; 2 sisters Pearl Lacey of Elk City and Bernice Smith of Pampa, TX; 1 brother Ray Beals, Roll, OK; 4 grandchildren Lorie Cavazos, Cheyenne, OK, Michelle Suliff, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Gwenda Beals, Cheyenne, Ok and Jonathan Looper, Edmond, OK; 6 great grandchildren, Jessica, Anthony Samantha, Makala, Ty and Cody; 1 daughter in law Pam Beals, Reydon, OK and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday September 16, 1998 at the Whinery-Savage Chapel officiated by Edsel Nation, and assited by Neil Callahan. Interment was in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direcion of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service. --------------------------------------------------------------------
