He departed this life on January 29, 1976 in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 45 years, 6 months and seven days. Funeral services were held Saturday January 31, 1976, in the Crawford School Auditorium at 2:30 p.m. With Rev. A.L. Martin and Eugene Bullard officiating. Interment was in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne. Harold was united in marriage to Bonita Smith, July 10, 1948, and to this union was born 5 children: Lonnie Beals of Cheyenne, OK; Joan Taylor of Cheyenne, OK; Jean Whiteneck of Lahoma, OK; Terry Beals and Gail Beals of the home and 4 grandchilldren: Nathan and Leah Whiteneck of Lahoma, OK; and Timmy and Jason Beals of Cheyenne, OK. Besides his wife and family, Harold leaves to mourn his passing; his mother, Mrs. Etta Beals of Cheyenne, OK.; 3 sisters, Pearl Lacey of Durham, OK,; Lois sprowls of Cheyenne, OK,; and Bernice Smith of Pampa, Texas; 3 brothers, Jim of Moore, OK; Loyd of Sweetwater, Ok,; and Ray of Strong City, OK,; and a host of other relatives and friends. His father preceded him in death on February 10, 1965. Harold trust in Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1955 and lived a dedicated Christian Life. He was always active with the youth of his church. He was a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church in Crawford, Oklahoma. His joy and delight was in seeing lost souls come to Jesus and seeing the deciation of Christian's Life to God;s perfect will. We have seen the tears of joy and heard the praises given to God that comes when these things happen. He always strove for improvent in his life. In his service to the Lord, he studied to show himself approved unto God, to be a perfect son of God, living the saved life to its sanctification and he evidently reached that point in life earlier than most men. He loved God and his work. Men loved him and he loved them for the cause of Christ. The tears of sorrow, but in our hearts we have great peace, knowing that at the blessed hope of our Lord's appearing, to them wherein we shall, rejoice together evermore.
