The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ====================================================================== Mary Lavola Blann was born September 29, 1902 in Perry, Oklahoma to Amanda Bell and Joseph Sanford Short and passed away November 17, 1993 at the home of her daughter Dorene Hillman, at the age of 91 years, 1 months and 18 days. Mary Lavola Short married Otis Ray Blann October 29, 1922. They were residence of Roger Mills County more than 50 years before moving to Midwest City, Oklahoma in 1964. Mary was a member of American Legion Auxiliary; Rebekah Lodge and West Side Club at Reydon, Oklahoma. Ray and Mary celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary October 31, 1982. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Ray on December 25, 1987; her parents and seven brothers, Roy, Joe, Elmer, Nolder, Jim, Jake; and two sisters Maude and Cora. Survivors are two daughters and husbands, Darlen and Jack Selby, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Dorene and Gale Hillman, Oklahoma City, Oklahomq; three grandchildren, Tim Hillman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jaruita McGuffy and husband Bobby, Midwest City, Oklahoma; Terry Selby and wife Margaret, Piedmont, Oklahoma; six great grandchildren, Timmy Hillman, and wife Lisa, Yukon, OK; Jimmy Ridd, Jaurita Hillman, Gina Premo and husband Scott, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Michell Selby, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Shawn Englehart and husband Rob, Lisbon, Main; four great great grandchildren, Sierra, Lonnie, Davon, Steve. Graveside services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 1993, officiated by Pastor Richard Greenlee.
