Flossie departed this life in an Elk City Hospital September 9, 1969, at the age of 78 years, 8 months, 25 days. She came to Oklahoma Territory with her parents in 1901 and has lived in and near Hammon since that time. In 1909 she was united in marriage to R.H. Blount, and to this union were born five children. Mr. Blount preceded her in death in 1917 and in 1924 she was married to LaCour Vesburg, who preceded her in death in 1960. One son John Blount passed away in 1964, she leaves to mourn her passing, two daughters, Mrs. Ida Mae Trent of Hammon,a and Mrs. Madge Elliott, of Woodward. Two sons, Dene and Gene Blount of midwest City, one sister, Mrs. Blanche Ick, Oklahoma City, and a brother Merton Beal, Hammon. Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services from the Church of Christ in Hammon, Oklahoma, September 11, at 10:30 a.m. Officiating Ministers were Bro. Albert Trent, Hollis, Oklahoma and Bros. Glenn Bearreald, Leedey, Oklahoma.
