"Junior" Blount will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Hammon United Methodist Church with Rev. Rich Redinger and Rev. David Sanders officiating. C.E. Blount was born June 23, 1925 in Hammon, the son of Clyde Everett and Fern Ella Ester Bount, and died Oct 2, in the Elk City Community Hospital at the age of 63. C.E. "Junior" Blount attended schools at Spring Creek and Hammjon and married Betty Joyce Kent on Nov. 10, 1949 in Hammon. Mr. Blount was a member of the Hammon United Methodist Church, and lived in Hammon all his life except for 20 years when he lived in Pampa, Tex. He was employed by Sequoyah Furniture for several years in Elk City after moving from Pampa, where he worked as a milkman for Seal-Test Creamery for 16 years. For the last 20 years, mr. Blount was employed by the Maoon Co-op. His hobbies were baseball and being with his grandchildren. Mr. Blount is survived by his wife, Betty, of the Hammon home; four sons, Billy and Donna of St. Francis, KS, Arlos Finley and Eddie of Hammon, and Eldon of Elk City; one daughter, Trena (Mrs. Rick) Troubaugh, of Hammon; six grandchildren, Jason, Justin, jarred and Jeffery Blount of St. Francis, KS, Chris and Kyleight Trobaugh of Hammon; one brother, Neal Blount of Bethany; and five sisters, Neva Stewart of Amarillo, Ida Troxell and Ila Burrows, both of Oklahoma City, Doris Lovelace of Mustang, and Inez Viles of Noel, MO; 12 nieces and 12 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Ok, Roger Mills County under the direction of Savage Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Elk City Cancer Treatment Center. --------------------------------------------------------------------
