The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Obit for Jesse Carl Bullard Jesse Carl Bullard was born to Royal and Ollie Bullard, January 17, 1918 at Grand, Oklahoma. He departed this life May 19, 1995 at the age of 77. He graduated from Arnett High School May 1937 and married Alice Mae Drake, July 3, 1937. The moved to Nogalas, Arizona where Carl worked as a welder working in Nogalas and old Mexico with Alice's father. They then moved to Los Angeles, California in 1942 where he was superintendant in a ship yard working as a combinations welder, and helped construct 52 Liberty cargo ship. He entered World War II in March 1945, training in Fort Hood, Texas. Carl was sent to West Point Military Academy as instructor of tanks. He attained the rank of T-8 Tech Sargent. While in the Military Service Carl accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour and was baptized by a Milirary Chaplin in 1945. He attended the Baptist Church. They moved back to Arnett, OK in 1947 entering the Dairy Business. He retired from Dairying in 1978 and joined his sdon, Terry Bullard in the Custom Hay Business. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and as long as his eye sight let him. He enjoyed dancing all of his life teaching pattern dances with his wife Alice in later years. Carl became a Mason in 1943 in Gardenia, California, achieving his 32 degree Scottish Rite in 1944 at Tucson, Arizona. He transferred his Masonic Membership to Arnett, Oklahoma in the 1960's. He received his 50 Year Blude lodge Pin in 1993 from the Arnett Lodge and 50 year 32 degree pin from the Tucson Lodge. Carl joined the Oklahoma Eastern Star in Arnett, OK May 6, 1968 taking an active part. Worthy Patron in 1973-83-84-85-90. Thos preceding him in death were his parents, Royal and Ollie Bullard and one brother, Cecil Bullard. Also two infant brothers, and three infant sisters. He leaves to mourn his wife, Alice of the home in Arnett, OK; one son Terry Bullard and wife Bonnie of Olustee, OK; one daughter, Carla Tice and husband Ron of Woodward, OK; one grandson, Carl Tice of Woodward; two granddaughters, Penny Hutchinson and husband Macky, Vici, OK and Terica Bryant and husband Steve of Narco, CA; two great grandsons, and four great granddaughters; six step granddaughters, and one step grandson, and eighteen step great grandchildren. One sister, Arveda Stucker of Hardy, AR and one sister in law, Estella Bullard of Shattuck, OK, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were Wednesday, May 24, 1995 at 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, Arnett, OK with Bart Poole, pastor officiating. Interment was in Harmon Cemetery, Harmon, OK under the direction of Shaw Funeral Home of Vici, OK Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK 1-Jun-1995
