Mr. Bullard was sixty-eignt years, eleven months, and sixteen days of age, at the time of his passing. Cecil attended the rural schools near his home at Grand and was a graduate of Bishop High School. On January 18, 1941, Cecil F. Bullard was united in marriage to Estella Sherrill at Woodward, Oklahoma. They established their home on a farm northwest of Harmon. One son, Max, and three daughters, Linda, Sharon, and Donna, were born to this union. Cecil was engaged in farming and also owned and operated a dairy through these years while living near Harmon. When his health began to fail, Mr. and Mrs. Bullard moved from the farm to Vici to be near and help care for his mother, who was a resident of the Vici Nursing Home. They continued making their home in Vici for several years and during this time he was involved in gardening and flower culture, hobbies which he enjoyed and shared with others. Following the death of his mother last year, they moved to Shattuck in order to be near their children. This remained his home until his untimely passing, November 1, 1983. Mr. Bullard loved his Lord and his Country. He made his committment of faith in Christ in 1969 and became a member of the Liberty Baptist Church near his Ellis County home. Since moving to Shattuck, he has been attending the First Christian Church of Shattuck. Cecil was always interested in politics and had served as a delegate to the Democratic State Convention. The love of his family and their well being was of greatest concern to him. Material things were of minor importance. Just to have his family near him brought him a great sense of happiness and joy. His children and grandchildren were deeply loved and just a visit from the made his day complete. He especially loved children and elderly people, anxious always to be of help to them in any possible way. He was preceded in death by hids parents, Royal H. and Ollie Bullard, and by one grandson, Richard Max Bullard. He is survived by his wife, Estella Bullard, of the home in Shattuck; one son, Max Bullard and wife, Tweeter of Shattuck; three daughters, Linda Waylnad and husband, Ronnie of Shattuck, Sharon MacElroy and husband, John of Fargo, and Donna Poppe and husband, Bobby of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren, Brandon Max, Troy Max, and Roy Tyson Bullard, Jimmy Franklin and Kimberely Ann Patton, Ronna Kay and Sherrill Lynn Waylnad, and Robbie Dean and Amy Dawn Poppe; one brother Carl Bullard of Arnett and one sister, Arveda Stucker of Hardy, Arkansas, and other loved ones and many friends.
