Beavin Bumpus Agnes L. Beavin Bumpus died on September 7, 1992 in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband LeRay Bumpus and two sons, LeRay Jr. and Richard. Agnes had five survviving children. Two daughters JoAnne McCormick of Dallas, Texas and Jeanne O'Conner of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Three sons, Roland Bumpus of Harlington, Texas, and Frank Austin Bumpus of Highland Village, Texas. She had sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Agnes was the daughter of F.A. and Maggie Beavin and was one of twelve children. Six were born in Claverport, Kentucky. Francis, Hagan, Virginia, Paul Wilfred, Louis Ray, Carl, Esther and Louis all preceded her in death excpt Mabel Beavin Eckroat who lives in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a wonderful loving sister and friend. As we grew up together, she helped and watched out for all six under her. She loved fun and taught us how to play jokes on each other. She worked with all her family and was a happy go lucky, beautiful young person. In the earlier days of arm steading, things were pretty hard. But the hard things were mostly forgotten and she always talked aabout the "Good times". Of her four sisters, it was always admitted by them that Agnes was the pretties. She loved dancing and was an avid bridge player. She lived each day to its fullest and looked forward with great expectations for tomorrow. She was very alert unto the last, and was dearly loved by all. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
