Tillman was born May 20, 1908 at Lawton, Oklahoma. He graaduated from Mangum High School, Oklahoma and operated a cream station in Strong City, Oklahoma. Tillman married Veta Vick ofCheyenne in 1931. He and Veta graduated from Southwestern College, Weatherford, Oklahoma and taughht school in Greer County, Roger Mills County and Carlsbad, New Mexico where they retired. Tillman is survived by his wife Veta of Carlsbad, New Mexico; two sons, Adron Vick Bannister of Scuccora, New Mexico and Garry Bannister of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Services were at West Funeral Home Chapel February 20, 1995 at 2;00 p.m. with the Rev. bob Brockman, Baptist minister. Interment was in the Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Calrsbad, New Mexico.
