He came to America in 1883, when two years later he was married to Lucia Branch also from the Old Country. He moved to Roger Mills County several years ago, but has lived in the neighborhood of Grimes for two years and in that time made many friends. He was kind hearted, Christian man who won the respect of all who knew him. While he was known to be in poor health, his death which occurred Thursday, May 19, 1904 was a shock to all. A number of his friends gathered at the home Saturday morning to pay their last respect. The service which was in the German language was conducted by G. K. Suppe of Sweetwater, assisted by a bank of singers, from Sweetwater members of his church who sang appropriate and beautiful songs in the German language, and also by friends in the neighborhood with English songs. At the cemetery Rev. Diehl made a few remarks in English, the German Burial service was read in the American and German singers-each in his own language united in singing "Nearer My God To Thee" Thus was his last laying away made more beautiful in the uniting of the two languages, that of his native land and of the country of his adoption. Mr. Biggali will be missed by a large circle of friends, but most of all by his wife and four little children, who are left bereft indeed. They have the sympathy of the entire community.
