Following his marriage to Betty Jo Trammell, May 18, 1956 in Whittier, CA, they lived in Pampa, TX, Pearsall, TX and Cheyenne, OK before making their home southwest of Elk City in 1980. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and had been a member of the First Christian Church in Canadian for a number of years. He was employed as a welder. His father preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; his mother, Mrs. Virgie D. Reagan of Wheeler, TX; 1 daughter, Redina (Sissi) Butler of Canute, OK; 1 son, Monte Wayne Bentley of Huntsville, TX; 3 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Barbara Jackson, Bette Edmiston, Ruth Burkhart all of Odessa, TX; 1 brother, Richard Bentley of Perryton, TX and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning, August 7, 1985 in the First Baptist Church of Cheyenne with Jim Banks of Elk City officiating. Interment followed in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne.
