He came to Oklahoma when a young man and has lived near Cheyenne for 32 years. Mr. Bowman professed faith in Christ at the age of 15. He united with the church of Brethren. He remained true to his profession until death. Mr. Bowman was married to Miss Bell Studz in 1887. To this union four children were born. Mrs. Bowman preceded him in death in 1900. In 1903, Mr. Bowman was married to Miss Minnie Wall. To this union six children were born, five girls and one boy. She preceded him in death also in 1919. Mr. Bowman was a good man, a good neighbor, a good husband, father and Christian gentlemen. He leaves to mourn his going, eight children: Albert Bowman of California; Ebe of Cheyenne; Mrs. Clara Stephenson of Roll; Mrs. Loyd Scott of Cheyenne; Mrs. Willie Batchelor, of Arizona; Mrs. Vern Taylor of Reydon; Chaarley Bowman of New Mexico; and Lorena Bowman of Cheyenne. Also 22 grandchildren, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, including Nim Bowman of Cheyenne. A host of other relatives and frines mourn his going His life was a life well lived and might well inspire we, who are still here to do likewise.
