He departed this life on November 20, 1975, in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. In 1946 he was married to Imogene Conway in Winfield, Kansas. To this union was born three sons, Jimmie, Kelley, and Kenny and two daughters, Veral Ruth and Carol D.Ann. Other surviving relatives include his mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Lee Binion of Sayre, one brother, Roy of Keller, Texas and two sisters, Mrs. Homer Vernillion of Sayre and Mrs. Noran Liebermann of Dallas, Texas, also nieces and nephews. Doc served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was Chief of Police for 8 years in Perryton, Texas. He served on The Police Dept in Sayre, Oklahoma and as Beckham County Deputy Sheriff. Doc was a member of the Masonic Lodge #133 Cheyenne and Independt Order of Odd Fellows. #140, Perryton, Texas. He was also a member of American Federation of Police. Doc owned and operated Doc's club and the Bear Drive-Inn in Cheyenne. Services were held at the First Baptist Church in Cheyenne on November 22, 1975, at 2:20 p.m. with Rev. Billy Parvin officiating. Interment was in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Scroggins and Son Funeral Home.
