Gently and easily her pure soul passed from the "Tabernacle of Clay" into the presence of Jesus, whom she loved and served with all the strength of her soul since childhood and into the Beautiful City revealed to St. John from Patmos. It may truthfully be said of her, she lived a life beautiful in quiet, unselfish service to others and with out ostnetation; bearing with christian fortitude the cares and obligations that fell to her lot. She lightened the burdens of others by giving to the world cheerful words and smiles; never casting shadows over the lives of her friends by breathing into their ears her own crosses. At a very tender age the care of her motherless brothers and sisters one of whom is Mrs. G. W. hodges of this town became her responsibility, which obligation was earnestly and faithfully discharged. In the year 1867 she was married to T.O. Bonner. To them were born two sons, William T. and John Mack and a daughter, Mrs. Ella Bolhware; the latter preceeding her mother by about two years. In Mrs. Bonner's latter years the care of four precious grandsons, children of William T. Bonner, became hers beacuse of the passing away of the mother. Hence we say, hers was a life beautiful, given to the service of others. Mrs. Bonner was born at Willis, Texas, November 30th, 1841. In early life she professed faith in the Savior. She was a member of the Presbyterian church in Cheyenne. Interment in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Roger Mills Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/rogermills/rogermills.html
