Bonner, well known in this community as Uncle Tom Bonner, passed away last Saturday afternoon August 27, 1932 in Oklahoma City after an illness of several days. Uncle Tom Bonner, was born March 2, 1843 being 83 years of age at the time of his death which was directly caused by pneumonia. Mr. Bonner moved to this city in 1903 and made this his home for a number of years, during which time he made a host of friends. He was always cheerful and it is said of him that he never spoke a cross word to anyone. His companion departed this life while he resided in this city. He united withe Presbyterian church at the age of fourteen and lived a consecrated Christian life. He was an elder in the church at the place during hiss residence here. Mr. Bonner was the father of three children who are well known to the old timers of this section. Billy Bonner who now lives at Fort Sumner, New Mexico; J.M. Bonner who now resides in Edmond, and one daughter who passed away a few years ago. The remains of Mr. Bonner were shipped to this city last Monday of interment. After the funeral services at the Methodist church by H.H. Cody, local pastor. The body was laid to rest beside his wife in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. J.H.
