She was 55. Funeral services were 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the Sayre Grade School Auditorium with Joe Perry and Elbert Shumaker officiating. Burial was in the Lone Oak Cemetery. Glenna Mae Rose, daughter of Charles and Mabel Rose was born July 27, 1931 at Perry, Oklahoma. She moved with her parents to Perkins in 1932 and later to the Berlin Community. In 1935 they moved to the New Liberty Community. She graduated from New Liberty High School in 1949. Glenna married Donald D. Burch June 12, 1949 at Wheeler, Texas. After their marriage they made their home in the New Liberty Community living there until 1972 when they moved to Sayre. She worked at Sayre Memorial Hospital and later became the County Extension agent for 9 years and was the County Assessor of Beckham County at the time of her death. She was a member of the Sayre United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Roy Don Burch in 1972 and one brother. She is survived by her husband, Donald of the home; 3 sons and daughters-in-law: Joe and Marilyn Burch of Sayre, Jerry and Lori of Sayre and Royce Lee and Jennifer of Wellston, Oklahoma; Four grandchildren, 3 brothers, Royce C., John H. and C. Dean Rose all of Sayre; one sister; Betty Campbell of Wellington, Texas. The family requests memorial tributes be in the form of donations to the Roy Don and Glenna Mae Burch Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Sayre Junior College.
