Burks, Reydon, died Thursday Oct 4, 1964 at her home following an extended illness. Services will be held in the Reydon community building Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lynn Heard and Rev. Billy Wheeler officiating. Born March 27, 1888 in Houston. Mrs Burks came to western Oklahoma to Rankin in 1914 and was married September 10, 1914 to Ben L. Burks at Hamburg, Oklahoma. She wa a member of the Baptist Church. She had been a resident of the Reydon community since then. Her husband preceded her in death in 1930, also one son, Ernnie C. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Grace Crabtree, Elk City, Mrs. Martha Delamater, Fullerton, Calif., two half sisters, Mrs. Fern Trash, Jefferson City, MO., Mrs. F.M. Payne, Flint, MI; four sons Paul, Pete both of Reydon, Charles H. of Cushing, Bennie of Dumas, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Grace Richardson, Reydon; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Committaal will be in the White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, OK with Scroggins and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
