He passed away September 29, 1976. Charles attended Cheyenne School until he went ot the Army in January 17, 1955. He made his home at 203 Eva Drive in Clarksville, Tennessee. He is survived by his wife, Deloris, his daughter, Linda Campus, and his son, John David of the home; 1 grandson, and his fatyher and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brooks of Sayre, Oklahoma; also 3 brothers John Henry Brooks, George Louis Brooks, of Elk City, Oklahoma; and Freddie Brooks; 1 sister, Esther Crandall of Cheyenne; and a number of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
