Annie "Esther" Vida Dodd Burrows was born March 19, 1928 at Lookeba, OK to Everett and Vida Killian Dodd and passed away August 2, 1999 in her home southwest of Hammon, OK at the age of 71. Esther married Curley Burrows on June 2, 1945 and made their home south of Kiowa Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Hammon, OK for 54 years. She worked beside him on the family farm and prepared meals for the workers, family and friends. Her love for Gospel Music was never ending and in the late seventy's she organized "The Happy Travelers" before cutting an album ministering to all and many of which she never met in person. In the past ten years Esther has been by her husband's side ministering in the "Valley View Chapel" located near their residence She truly has been an inspiration to all. We love her more! Esther was preceded in death by her parents: Everett and Vida Killian Dodd. Three brothers: Jessie Dodd; Roy Dodd; Paul Dodd; Two sisters: Rosie Mae Dodd, Thelma Sebree; One grandson: Daniel Leon Burrows and one daughter-in-law, Cathy Campbell Burrows. Esther is survived by her husband: Rev. Robert Dalton "Curley" Burrows and three children: Teresea Chaney and her husband Bert of Hammon, OK; Dalton Burrows and his wife Carolyn Potts of Hammon, OK, Larry Burrows and his wife Mira Parkhurst of Cordell, OK; Seven Grandchildren: Robert Felton Chaney and his wife Becky Wright; Danite Sue Burrows Cloud and her husband Brandon; Gregory Marshall Chaney and his wife Tracy Leaper; Cherity Dawn Burrows Goodwin and her husband Billy; Dustin Lee Burrows and his wife Laura Webb; Charla Ann Burrows; Cheryl Lynn Burrows; Seven Great Grandchildren: Karinda Chaney; Kelsey Chaney; Tate Chaney; Rowdy Cloud; Annie Chaney; Ty Cloud and Riley Cloud; Four Brothers: Daniel and Joyce Dodd of Dill City, OK; Romayne and Nita Dodd of Ardmore, OK; S.D. and Geraldine Dodd of Norwalk, CA; Forest Dodd, Riverside, CA and a host of nieces and nephews. --------------------------------------------------------------------
