Carrie Addie Bowers was born August 26, 1901, at Cheyenne, OK. and passed away in the Sayre Hospital, September 20, 1977, after a short illness at the age of 76 years 25 days. She attended Springcreek School in Roger Mills County. June 29, 1919, she married Frank Bowers at Cheyenne, and they have made their home in Roger Mills County. Preceding her in death were her parents, 1 infant brother and 2 sisters. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cheyenne. Survivors are her husband, Frank of the home; 1 daughters, Addie Mae Griffin, Denver, CO; Carol Ann Gibbons, Cheyenne, OK; 3 sons, Raymond Bowers, Muskogee, Leroy Bowers, Crawford, Charles Bowers, Cheyenne; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Esther Burrows, Cheyenne; 3 brothers, Ross Jencks, Elk City; Verne Jencks, Sayre, Oren Jencks, Cheyenne. Grandsons, Larry Bowers, Raymond Bowers, Jr., Robert Bowers, Jerry Wayne Fults, Charles Wayne Robbins, served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Raymond Blair, S.C. Spitzer, Pete Flenner, Tom Ford, Dean Cross and Bob Donaldson.
