Margie moved with her family to Seminole, TX in 1942 and later moved to Hobbs, NM in 1970 where she met Jessie Briggs and they were married on November 14, 1980 and they remained in Hobbs. In 1989 they moved to western Oklahoma where they lived in Reydon before moving to Arnett in April of 1990 to make their home. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Seminole, TX and attended the Arnett First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister (Reba), and 3 brothers (W.S., Jr., Dolan and Vernon). She is survived by her husband Jessie of the home; 1 daughtter, Paula Dean, Denver City, TX; 1 stepdaughter, Cynthia Ann Parker, Lewisville, TX; 4 sisters Louise Beaty, Palo Pinton, TX, Mary Darnell, Westland, MI, Katie Powers, Seminole, TX, Corrine Fuller, Austin, TX; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie, Dolan, Brian, Andrew, Justin and Misty Lynn; 1 great granddaughter Whitney and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 1994 at the Arnett First Baptist Church officiated by Terrell Romberg, and assisted by Bart Poole. Interment was in the Strong City Cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Memorial may be made to American Heart Association (Oklahoma Chapter) or Minnie R.
