Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church of Miami with the Rev. Wes Wellborn, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Bright was born in Roger Mills County, Okla. He was a veteran of the Army and served during the Korean conflict. In 1993, he retired after 40 years with the Texas Department of Highways in Miami. Mr. Bright was a member of the American Legion Pulaski Post No. 106 where he held the office of adjutant for 10 years. He also was a member of First Baptist Church and served as usher for many years. He was an active volunteer at the Roberts County Museum and helped with hospice benefits. He married Vida Jane Carnahan in 1952 at Miami. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lloyd Wayne Bright of Borger and Steven Sanford Bright of White Deer; his mother, Pearl Skeen of Miami; four brothers, Dale Bright of Fairview, Ill., Bob Bright of Pampa and Roy Bright and DeWayne Bright, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Bonnie Floyd and Patricia DeMaroney, both of Pampa; and two granddaughters.
