In 1900 she was married to J.T. Vanhook at Kingfisher, Oklahoma. To this union 2 children were born, William Luther, and a daughter who preceded her mother in death. In 1908 she was married to L.S. Brigham in Taloga, Oklahoma. To his union four children were born, all of whom survive. In 1900 she came to western Oklahoma, locating near Old Grand. Later she moved to the Durham community where she resided for a number of years. For the past few years she has resided in and near Cheyenne. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Blanche Henderson, Moore, Oklahoma; sons William Luther Vanhook, Maynard Brigham, Leonard Brigham, B.C. Brigham; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie J. Faerber, Wichita, Kansas; and Mrs. Edna Russell of McCune, Kansas, and five grandchildren. Mrs. Brigham possessed a kind disposition and her many acts of kindness will long be remembered by her family and friends. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Methodist church in Cheyenne in the presence of a large crowd of friends. Rev. Jim Combs, pastor, delivered the sermon. Burial was in the Fairview cemetery near Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the directions of Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne.
