Mr. Barker was born in Oklahoma and moved to Lockford in 1972. In 1934 he married Dessie Cantrell and together they moved to Lodi-Stockton area. He joined the operating Engineers local #3. In 1944 and retired after 35 years at the age of 62. He loved to play the fiddle and enjoyed gardening, fishing and especially his family. Mr. Barker is survived by his wife, Dessie Barker of Lockeford; two sons, Robert Barker of Los Angeles and Jim Barker of Lodi; two daughters, Lorine White of Acampo and Rita Steiner of lodi; two brothers, Leroy Barker of Los Angeles and J.T. Barker of Oklahoma; five sisters, Wilma Penny of Lodi, Willie Doyle of Idaho, Thelma Terry of Yuba City and Beatrice Michaelson of Marysville; 17 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one son, Billy R. Barker; one grandson, and two brothers. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Lodi Memorial Centery with the Rev. Robin Simmons of the Grace Church of Lockeford officiating. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
